If not, what might be a possible reason why it's not?

Hi Shane,

It is available as a service in CF.com.  Please see our announcement and support articles in

Hi Senthil, I should have been more specific. I'm participating in the "Micro Cloud Foundry - a downloadable version of Cloud Foundry" private developer trial. Should RabbitMQ be available in that context?

Hi Shane,

RabbitMQ service is not yet available in Micro cloud.  Only mysql, redis and mongodb services are

available at this time.  Please stay tuned for more services in the future.

Thanks for your patience and interest in CloudFoundry.

  Best Regards,

Hi Shane,

I managed to add RabbitMQ as a service to a local VCAP (a.k.a. Micro CF) by following this support link:

http://support.cloudfoundry.com/entries/20052116-rabbit-on-local-in...

and more specifically by following the procedure outlined in this blog post:

http://financecoding.wordpress.com/2011/08/13/installing-rabbitmq-o...

Cheers,

Leo

Leo, Unfortunately those instructions won't work on Micro Cloud Foundry as it isn't using the vcap pieces. Stay tuned for more information on when RabbitMQ will be included in MCF... Cheers, /Martin

Martin,

Right, essentially I was assuming that MCF is just VCAP delivered as a prepackaged VM, meaning that the solution would work there as well ... obviously I didn't test that assumption  :-)

Cheers,

Leo
