As a part of the migration to V2 the default domian changes from cloudfoundry.com to cfapps.io . you can use the default V2 domain or use your custom domain. Sorry for the inconvenience.
As I posted on StackOverflow:
Unfortunately after June 30th, those URLs will no longer work as the datacenter where Cloud Foundry v1 is running is being decommissioned.
If you migrate the apps to v2 (available now at run.pivotal.io and you can login with your v1 credentials) then you will get new URLs for your apps which end in cfapps.io by default. However, v2 also now supports custom Domains. Unfortunately you will not be able to use cloudfoundry.com as the root domain as that is already taken, but you could choose your own custom domain for your new v2 "organisation" and then map your three apps onto that.
Just to comment that this really sucks. A month ago, there was no decent information on DNS migration, nor was it even possible to use custom URLs, and now with weeks to go, the domain I'm using (openmentor.cloudfoundry.com) is going to be killed. The lack (absence!) of transitioning support is a huge pain, and I'm not sure how I can trust CF with this app again.
Hi Stuart and Praveen,
Sorry for the inconvenience, We totally understand your situation and want to do our best to help the community. Thus we are willing to provide an additional 60 day period during which all of your requests to the existing Cloud foundry URL will be redirected to your new URL.
Hope this helps ! I will DM you to provide more details on the URL redirect process. Let me know if you have any concerns.
I'm also interested in being able to keep one of the previous cloudfoundry.com URLs accessible for a while longer. We finally got our application successfully running on V2 after some problems, and so we were still using the old cloudfoundry.com URL up to this point. We'd be more comfortable with access with the URL for a couple more weeks,
Can you tell me what's happened with the redirect? I noticed that the old service has been pulled already. I was hoping I'd have a chance to migrate the latest data tonight. Evidently it's been pulled already, which is a pity. Also I did confirm that I'd like the redirect from openmentor.cloudfoundry.com -> openmentor.cfapps.io. Can that please be set up as soon as possible.
Can you also help to redirect shopzy.cloudfoundry.com..
Could you setup fanzillo.cloudfoundry.com to redirect to fanzillo.cfapps.io, please?
For a few weeks, so I can inform my users, I would be interested for redirection too, is there a way to do it ?
Hi Omnigrok,Thanks for your post, Let me work on getting the URL redirect setup for you. Thanks,Bala
vcare.cloudfoundry.com to vcare.cfapps.io
vcare-integration.cloudfoundry.com to vcare-integration.cfapps.io
Thanks for your time and help !
shopzy.cloudfoundry.com to mainserver.cfapps.io
Thanks a lot for your support.
Hi Bala - Could you please redirect solutionengine.cloudfoundry.com to solutionengine.cfapps.io? Thank you very much for your help!
We totally understand your concern and have taken a step further in helping customers to export their data from V1 environment. We had successfully completed you application redirection. Please let me know if you want to retrieve data from the V1 environment and we will be glad to assist you in this process . Once again sorry for the inconvenience !
Can I migrate my app or is it totally beyond fix now?
Hi lnramirez ,
Do you have a local copy of your application, then you should be able to push it V2. If that's the case please check out our getting started guides:
bkeelapudi I do have a copy, but not the data stored (Mongo) is there any possibility to migrate that as well?
Awesome lnramirez ! I will DM you and please send me the mongo instance details.
Dear Cloud Foundry Users,
The URL redirection service was our intention to take a step further in assisting our customers during this migration process. As mentioned in the DM messages for all the URL redirection's that was done we would like to reiterate that this service will only be available for a 60 day period from the time it was started.
Thank you again for using our service. Regards,
